Related Support for User Data in MALT compound file (mcf)

Note on why this form is needed.

1. Contents in the Compound File.
   • Compound data
     Database registerd information for respective compounds stored in MALT Main Dataabase or User Database.
     MALT Main database : only when version up was made, the registered numbers are changed. MALT stores the information on how to convert the registration number.
     User database : these registered numbers are frequently changed after editing compound or adding compound.
     Compound name and other comound related information.
   • Data Format Conversion Data
     Mixture phases and stoichiometric compounds to be used in applications are listed.
     Identification of compounds in mxitures or stoichiometric compounds is made using the sequential number in the compound table.
     
   
   
2. Confirmation for possible changes in contents in the Compound File.
   • Redetermination of registered number
     Main Database : automatically changes will be made.
     User database : plausible candidates are listed up using the compound name, state etc.
   • Selection from candidates
     Final selection should be made by user.
   • Perfect matching
     When there is no compound having the corrsponding one in the new set, no display of this Form will be made.

User Data Confirmation Form is to confirm the compound informaiton stored in the compound file by comparison with the currently available Main database and User database.

1) File status

• Information of File status associated with the selected compound file is given.
  1. File name of the compound file.
  2. File name of the user database stored in the compound file and its present status.
     not exist: this file does not exist in the given folder.
     changed : after editing this file, no compilation was made.
     renewed : after the compounds were retrieved, the user database was edited and compiled.
     
  3. File name of newly selected user database.
  4. Suggested File name for new compound file.

2) Compound list

• Information of respective compounds retrieved from the old user database.
  
  1. Row number
  2. Compound number in the old user data base.
  3. Compound Name
  4. State
     g: gas; a: aqueous; l: liquid; s: solid
  5. Status
     D: Determined uniquely
     M: Multiple candidates are availabe
     UD: not determined
     UF: not found even in the newly selected user database.
  6. New number
     Result of retrieve with the chemical formula and state.
     - : no compound was found in the selected user database.
     n : one compound was retrieved.
     n(m,n) : several compouds given inside the parenthesis were found; the first number given outside the parenthsis indicates the registered number of a tentatively selected compound.
• Actions/Response
  
  • Click on the New number field of the multiple candidaates leads to Renewal of the fields of number of selection and selection of compound.
    
  • When the number of selection field is changed, the proper row will be shown at the top of the list.

3) Number of selection

• Number of compounds having the multiple candidates is given
  
• Selecting the number given in the combobox leads to changes in the compound list and in the combobox of selection of compound.

4) selection of compound

• Multiple candidate compounds correspoding to one compound in the compound file is listed in the combobox. Selection will be made with this combobox.

5) list of candidates

• All candidates are collected in this list. No response will be made on click on this listbox.

6) OK button

1. When all compounds are arranged to have the corresponding compound data in the new user database
   
   • Next procedure will continue on base of this modified information.
   • It is highly recommended to save the compound file as a new file with the different name.
2. When there is a compound which is missed in the new user database
   
3. The information about the data format conversion, if any, will be lost.
4. A new set of compounds without those compound having no replaced ones willbe treated.

7) cancel button

• This results in the failure of the reading the compound file. The previous environment will be recovered.
