[Menu: Search Compounds > by Compound] is the search by specifying the compound name.

It is convenient for cases where the stoichiometric numbers of compounds to be retrieved are already known. Particularly, hydrocarbons are easily retrieved effectively and no further editing will be needed.

The specification is made by inputting compound name in the edit field of the "Input Compounds Form."

Note however that retrieval is made by using the elements and their stoichimetric number exactly. For example, by using "FeO", Fe0.947O cannot be retrieved, because of the difference in the iron stoichiometry.
