MALT Direct

The MALT Direct provides the computer environment of facilitating the data transfer inside the MALT database to the user's programs or the MALT related software such as the chemical equilibrium calculations software, gem, or the chemical potential diagram construction software, CHD. This function will therefore not be used inside the MALT main form. The related software gem or CHD can be operated separately or independently from MALT, although the MALT should be running whenever gem/CHD will work effectively. For details, see manuals.

In order to save the MALT Direct environment, there are two ways:

  1. to save the current compound system as the Compound File as default file or explicilty as named file. For the former, the next sesion of MALT, the same set of compound system will be reproduced. In the latter case, the same compound system will be reproduced anytime by reading such named file. Then, the MALT Direct will be effective when gem/CHD will be run.
  2. to save the current system as the Compound Data File explicitly by nameing a new file. This can be accessed from gem/CHD directly with/without the saved calculation conditions.
