Calculate to Construct A Diagram

1. Preparation
   
   • To construct a diagram, all necessary conditions are specified correctly.
     
   • In many cases, default selections will be made after reading the thermodynamic data.
     
   • Even so, in some cases, you have to specify the conditions to draw a diagram. In particular, when you select a system with multi-components, it is essential to fix the chemical potentials in order properly to draw a diagram.

2. Execution
   

   1. Run > Calculation

      or tool button run

      can be available only when all necessary data are specified for the current system.
      When this is not the case, please specify the conditions for constructing a diagram in the current system. Check the dimension number of teh current system and teh number of fixation. In many cases, further fixation of chemical potentials will be needed. Select

   2. Run > One Dissection

      or tool button One Dissection

      Whe one chemical potential diagram becomes available, this menu becomes valid. Intensive variables such as temperature or chemical potentila should be defined to obtain the dissection properties.
      Effects appears in two ways:
      1. dissected line on the target diagram.
      2. Construction of an additional diagram. For the 2D diagram, the profile diagram will be constructed, whereas for 3D diagra, the 3D surface or the 2D dissection diagram will be constructed.
      
      

   3. Run > One Dissection Swing

      or tool button Swing

      When the one dissection is established on the target diagram or for the additional diagram, the dissected value can be adjusted by changing the associated value on the Swing Form.
      
      

   4. Run > Many Dissections

      or tool button ManyDissections

      This is for simultaneous constrauction of multi dissections defined by a series of values of the selected chemical potentials.
      
      

   5. Diagram > Additional Lines

      This is similar to the menu Many dissections in a sense:
      • A series of dissection lines are plotted on the target diagram.
        
      • Method of selecting the chemical potentials and their vlaues is essentially the same.
      Even so, differences are as follows;
      • No additional diagram will be constructed.
        
      • Target planes can be selected. For example, only one mixture can be specified to draw those additional lines.
