Reaction Definition Form

Reaction Definition Form is to determine the stoichiometric coefficient for selected reactants and products.

The definition of chemical reaction using the selected compounds is made by

This form is equipped with the following

Select : the present focused compound will be selected. If the previously selected one is present, this will be replaced with the new compound. The same procedure can be made by double clicking on the target compound.
Cancel: cancel the selections made in the current procedure and come back to the Compound Table Form.
OK : the presently selected value for the stoichiometric coefficient will be adopted and the chemical reaction will be set up.

The chemical reaction is determined by specifying the target compound and the present stoichiometric coefficient.
Negative values indicate that the target compound should be in the reactant side, positive values being in the product side.
The stoichiometric coefficient of the target compound is determined by the input value.
The coefficients of the rest of selected compounds are automatically determined.
When invalid combination of compounds was selected and no proper solution can be obtained, the error message will be given.

This compound grid shows the currently focused compound as blue line and the selected compound as green line.
Double clicking on the target compound can change the selected compound.
The currently focused line can be moved by using the upward or downward arrow keys, and then select key can be hit.
To move the focus among the grids and the select buttons, the tab key can be used.
