This is to open one of compound files. When utilization of this menu, you need to have the saved compound file previously.
- The default directory for those compound files can be specified in
- Check for MALT Database version.
- When the compound file was made by using the old MALT Main database,
the compound infomraiton will be automatically transfered to the present one.
- When the conversion table is not available (the version is not recognized by MALT),
reading process will be stopped.
- When the user database is used, the existence of the saved file name is checked.
- if not exists, the new file name (for example the same name but in the different folder) should be selected to continue the procedure.
- Check will be made whether the time stamp of the found "*.udb" file is identical
with that stored in the compound file.
- If so, check will be made also whether the *.udb file is later than that of the correspondoing "*.txt" file.
- if so, the next step will proceed.
- if not, there can be insonsistency between the "*. udb" file and the "*.txt" file. Thus, users can stop this procedure to examine this inconsistency.
- When the adopted user database is differnt from the stored user database file, the retrieval procedure will be made for respective compounds in the compound file; the compound name and state name are used in this retireaval process.
- When the one-to-one correspondence is obtained, those newly obatined regsitered numbers will be utilized to complete the compound table.
- When this is not the case, users are requested to identify the respective corresspondence by using User Data Confirmation Form : Updata Compounds in UDB .
- Note: When the exact one-to-one correspondence was not established, the information of the Data Format Conversion, if any, can be lost. In such a case, this procedure of making data format conversion should be attempted.
- When reading was completed with some modifying processes, users are suggested to save the newly adjusted information in the newly named file.
- When these procedures were made successfully, the compound table will appear.
